Dear Members & Friends:
We have had an exciting year at the Woodruff-Fontaine House Museum and as 2018 is coming to an end, the holiday season is fast approaching! We are busy staging the mansion for our annual Victorian Yuletide exhibition, as well as our annual Christmas fundraiser, Merriment under the Mistletoe on December 15, which we cannot wait to unveil.
To kick off this giving season, consider a donation to the Association for the Preservation of Tennessee Antiquities, Memphis Chapter for the continuation of our preservation efforts and to ensure the history of the Woodruff-Fontaine House and the gilded age of Memphis is remembered for years to come.
Don’t know how much to donate? Consider one of the following amounts:
Donate $12 - One dollar for each year the Woodruff family lived in the house on Adams Avenue
Donate $32 - One dollar for each mansion that lined Adams Avenue in the 1800s, thus earning it the nickname “Millionaires Row”
Donate $46 - One dollar for each year the Fontaine family lived in the house on Adams Avenue
Donate $54 - One dollar for each year the Woodruff-Fontaine House has been open as a museum
Donate $147 - One dollar for each year the Woodruff-Fontaine mansion has stood.
Any generous donation will be appreciated and will be tax deductible. Consider a year end gift, or giving yourself or loved one the gift of membership to the APTA, Memphis Chapter.
Thank you, and from all of us at the Memphis Chapter of the APTA, Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays!
“To preserve and promote early historical, cultural, and architectural heritage of Memphis through educational and aesthetic enrichment by managing and maintaining the Woodruff-Fontaine House Museum, properties, and collections therein.”
